I recently updated the operating system on my two year old Blackberry. After the update I was unable to lock my keyboard, leaving me vulnerable to making inadvertent calls (also known as “butt dialing”).

Turns out the update included a change to the keyboard lock procedure. A Google search revealed that now, in order to lock my keyboard, I have to use the “lock” key. But my Blackberry doesn’t have a “lock” key…or so I thought.

I finally went to Blackberry.com and found an interactive guide to my model. And there it was...on the top edge of my phone…the lock key. Two years of using this phone every day, and I never knew this button existed.
