The Forman in question is my son. The presidency is of his elementary school.

Last night at dinner, our family worked on campaign strategy. We were batting around taglines, when my wife came up with one: “Forman: For You!”

My son loved it and so did I. It’s what a tagline should be: short, memorable, unique. Most importantly, it captured the essence of my son’s platform: the desire to represent and advocate for all of his schoolmates.

My friend (and non-profit marketing guru) Nancy Schwartz runs a tagline competition every year. Check out this snappy 3-minute video that features tagline tips and this year's winners.

And remember, if you’re a South Mountain Elementary School student, be sure to vote on November 23rd.
